I was at the World Expo in Hannover that very year, right after my graduation, and was in awe with all the various Pavilions on display. When I had finally stood in front of this Pavilion with a red/white flag with a crescent moon accompanied by five stars... I was surprised to find myself in tears! Wasn't aware I had missed Singapore so so much...
